We are currrently in level 4 lockdown in Scotland and we cannot take any holiday bookings for stays before the end of April. Until we have more clarity on the situation we are only taking single household bookings from Scotland for May, single household bookings from the UK for June and will take 2 household bookings from the UK for July onwards.
for groups of all sizes
At Kinblethmont we believe that what makes people happy is spending time together in a beautiful relaxing place whether it is for a romantic get away or for a big reunion. Our lovely estate is on the sunny east coast of Scotland just 5 miles from Arbroath. It has been owned and run by our family – the Ramsays for generations and is now a fully diversified farming business with arable crops, woodlands, sheep, renewable energy and holiday accommodation. We love being able to share it with our guests and look forward to hearing from you soon.
We are delighted to be able to offer Kinblethmont House to you for weekend or longer breaks. It has many period features and certainly has a Downton Abbey feel about the place. It is a fun place to stay with lots of comfortable bedrooms – some with 4 poster beds, plenty of interesting nooks and crannies to explore and beautiful gardens. Whether you are self-catering or treating yourselves to a fully catered weekend we are sure you’ll have a holiday to remember.
We have been making some improvements to the lower ground floor in Kinblethmont House. It is a great place for children to let off steam or for adults to kick back and watch the footie! It opens up onto the terrace for relaxed BBQs and croquet matches.
We were delighted to hear in the announcement yesterday that most schoolchildren are able to return to school after the easter holidays in Scotland. We were however, very disappointed that we will have to wait until 20th April until we get any more details on the route out of lockdown …
On the farm this week we are planting our Golden Promise malting barley. We have been growing it for generations and it is the chief ingredient of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord ale. Now doesn’t that make you feel thirsty!
